Kids/Teens Improv (for the Camera)
Kina Bale-Reed, Casting Director, is teaming up with Fort Worth Actors Studio for an all new Improv (for the Camera) Workshop! These spots will go fast! Don’t delay!
Kids/Teens will train in improv with FWAS staff for the beginning of class. Once through improv training, Kina Bale-Reed, from Cast-o-Matic, will put the students’ new skills to the test! Kina Bale-Reed will take students through a mock commercial audition that relies heavily on improv. Feedback will be given and questions answered.
Improvisation training is a powerful tool and is often necessary in booking commercial work. Many auditions today have no dialogue and require improv skills. Actors who have studied improv usually do much better at these auditions. Improv is not about being funny – it’s about thinking on your feet while listening, creating, and communicating a clear story. It is about truly being “in the moment” and not thinking or planning. It is about freedom. A few skills actors can add to their resume after taking this course: short form improv, storytelling, risk taker, great concentration, committed, trusts instincts, and supports other actors – just to name a few.
At FWAS all students will study improv in a safe, secure, and nurturing space. At Fort Worth Actors Studio we strive to create a supportive and not competitive environment, always focused on being family friendly.
This is a rare opportunity to get Improvisation Training AND a Casting Director Workshop all in one! Don’t miss the chance to train and get feedback from one of Dallas’ busiest Casting Directors who only teaches a few times a year.
