JOB TITLE: Kids Acting For the Camera Teacher
REPORTS TO: Director of FWAS
THE JOB: Fort Worth Actors Studio is calling for a “Kids Acting for the Camera Teacher” who is excited about teaching Acting and has experience in front and/or behind the camera.
Preferred candidates have at least one year of experience working with kids ages 8-13, have experience in front and/or behind the camera, and have a contagious enthusiasm for the subject. The teacher needs to have great time management skills, be responsible, and be personable and friendly. The teacher needs to be responsible enough to turn in lesson plans in advance.
The teacher will be responsible for teaching auditioning, improvisation, building a character, and scene study. Each class must include on-camera acting exercises and/or scene work. More topics may be taught as the instructor desires, as long as it relates to Acting for the Camera.
The class is held on Saturdays from 10:15-11:45 AM, however the teacher should be at the Studio 10:00 AM-Noon.
On the last day of class (December 15), friends & family of the students are invited to watch class starting at 11:00 AM. This should showcase what the students have been working on in class and be a celebration of their hard work throughout the semester.
Must have a High School Diploma to apply.
PAY: $30/hour or $60 for each class
DATES: Saturdays, September 8-December 15 (November 24 off), 10 AM-Noon
